Section C. 18 – Raffle Rules

2021 Tri-Hospital Dream Lottery Main Ticket and Draw Information:

  1. The 2021 Tri-Hospital Dream Lottery main ticket prices are Single ticket for $100, 2-Pack for $175, 4-Pack for $300 and 8-Pack for $500. Only 66,600 tickets will be sold.
  2. Total retail value of prizes is $2,506,154.23 (excluding taxes) for the Main Lottery.
  3. All persons participating in the 2021 Tri-Hospital Dream Lottery must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  4. The Spring Bonus cutoff date for main ticket sales will be Thursday May 27, 2021 at Midnight. The Spring Bonus draw will be held on Wednesday June 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation office, C1026-409 Taché Avenue, Winnipeg MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draw at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions the draw would take place at 26 Will’s Way in East St. Paul, MB.
  5. The Summer Dream Bonus cutoff date for main ticket sales will be Thursday June 10, 2021 at Midnight. The Summer Dream Bonus draw will be held on Wednesday June 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation office, C1026-409 Taché Avenue, Winnipeg MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draw at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions the draw would take place at 26 Will’s Way in East St. Paul, MB.
  6. The Early Bird cutoff date for main ticket sales will be Wednesday June 30, 2021 at Midnight. The Early Bird draws will be held on Wednesday July 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation office, C1026-409 Taché Avenue, Winnipeg MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draws at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions the draw would take place at 26 Will’s Way in East St. Paul, MB.
  7. The Final main ticket sales cutoff for all remaining prizes will be Thursday July 15, 2021 at Midnight. All remaining main prize draws excluding the Grand Prize draw, will begin on Tuesday July 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. These draws will be in order of ascending retail value. All draws will take place at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation office, C1026-409 Taché Avenue, Winnipeg MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draws at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions the draw would take place at 26 Will’s Way in East St. Paul, MB.
  8. The Grand Prize draw will be held on Wednesday July 28, 2021 between 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation office, C1026-409 Taché Avenue, Winnipeg MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draw at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions the draw would take place at 26 Will’s Way in East St. Paul, MB.
  9. In the event the 2021 Tri-Hospital Dream Lottery sells out prior to Midnight, Wednesday June 30, 2021 the following alternative draw dates will be used except for the Spring Bonus, Summer Dream Bonus and Early Bird draws as noted above. All remaining main prize draws excluding the Grand Prize draw, will take place on Wednesday July 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. These draws will be in order of ascending retail value. All draws will take place at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation office, C1026-409 Taché Avenue, Winnipeg MB. The Grand Prize draw will take place on Thursday July 15, 2021 between 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation office, C1026-409 Taché Avenue, Winnipeg MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draws at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions the draw would take place at 26 Will’s Way in East St. Paul, MB.

Grand Prize Rules

  1.  The Grand Prize winner will have until Friday August 6, 2021 to make their selection of their choice options. In the event that the winner cannot be reached or does not indicate their selection to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation prior to 12:00 p.m. on Friday August 6, 2021, the cash option will be awarded. In the event the 2021 Tri-Hospital Dream Lottery sells out prior to midnight, Wednesday June 30, 2021, the Grand Prize winner will have until Friday July 30, 2021 to make their selection of their choice options. In the event that the winner cannot be reached or does not indicate their selection to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation prior to 12:00 p.m. on Friday July 30, 2021, the cash option will be awarded.
  2. Title transfer for Grand Prize Option 1 the Maric Home located at 26 Will’s Way, in East St Paul, MB would be on November 15, 2021; for Grand Prize Option 2 the KDR Home to be built at 244 Yellow Moon Crescent in Winnipeg, MB would be on July 1, 2022; for Grand Prize Option 3 the Signature Home in St. Adolphe, MB, would be on December 1, 2021; for Grand Prize Option 4 the condo by 390 on the River, Unit 2202 located at 390 Assiniboine Ave in Winnipeg, MB would be on or before August 27, 2021 and for Grand Prize Option 5 the home to be located at Strata Lot 72, Section 7, Township 24 in the Osoyoos Division Yale District in Kelowna, BC would be on or before April 4, 2022.
  3. Due to housing market fluctuations, the market value of the real estate prizes may rise or diminish over time. Winner or charity is not entitled to the difference, if any, between the stated and actual market value at the time the prize is awarded.

50/50 PLUS™ Draw Info

  1. 50/50 PLUS™ ticket prices are 2-Pack for $20, 8-Pack for $40 and 30-Pack for $60 and will be sold to generate a maximum of $2,200,000 in gross revenue. Winner will receive 50% of gross revenue to a maximum of $1,100,000. The 50/50 PLUS™ Minimum prize guarantee is $200,000.
  2. 50/50 PLUS™ tickets can only be purchased if a 2021 Tri-Hospital Dream Lottery main ticket has been purchased.
  3. The 50/50 PLUS™ ticket sales cut off is Midnight, Thursday July 15, 2021 or earlier if Main tickets are sold out. The 50/50 PLUS™ draw will take place Wednesday July 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation office, C1026-409 Taché Avenue, Winnipeg MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draw at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions the draw would take place at 26 Will’s Way in East St. Paul, MB.
  4. In the event that the 2021 Tri-Hospital Dream Lottery Main tickets sell out before Midnight, Wednesday June 30, 2021, the draw for the 50/50 Plus™ Draw will take place on Thursday July 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation office, C1026-409 Taché Avenue, Winnipeg MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draw at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions the draw would take place at 26 Will’s Way in East St. Paul, MB. 

Extra Cash Plus

  1. Extra Cash Plus ticket prices are a 2-Pack for $20, 5-Pack for $40 and 10-Pack for $60. A maximum of 171,000 tickets will be sold. Tickets purchased will be eligible for all Extra Cash Plus draws.
  2. Total retail value of the Extra Cash Plus prizes is $140,000 (excluding taxes).
  3. The Extra Cash Plus tickets can only be purchased if a 2021 Tri-Hospital Dream Lottery main ticket has been purchased.
  4. The Extra Cash Plus ticket sales cut off is Midnight, Thursday July 15, 2021 or earlier if the Main lottery tickets sell out. All Extra Cash Plus draws including the final 4 draws will take place on Wednesday July 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation office, C1026-409 Taché Avenue, Winnipeg MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draw at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions the draw would take place at 26 Will’s Way in East St. Paul, MB. Winners’ names will be posted on the 2021 Tri-Hospital Dream Lottery website trihospitaldream.com.
  5. In the event that the 2021 Tri-Hospital Dream Lottery Main tickets sell out before Midnight, Wednesday June 30, 2021, the Extra Cash Plus draws will take place on Thursday July 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation office, C1026-409 Taché Avenue, Winnipeg MB. In the event the Foundation is unable to perform the draw at the Foundation office due to COVID 19 restrictions the draw would take place at 26 Will’s Way in East St. Paul, MB.
  6. There are 116 Extra Cash Plus Regular Winners of $1,000 Cash each.
  7. There are 4 Extra Cash Plus Final Winners of $6,000 Cash each.

Other Rules:

  1. Each ticket purchase is issued in only one person’s name and prizes will be issued only to the name of the person on the ticket. The person whose name is on the ticket is responsible for distributing any prizes in the event of a group purchase winning. All ticket packs are considered a single purchase and all tickets are issued in one person’s name.
  2. The official ticket is a receipt of purchase. It is the responsibility of ticket purchasers to ensure that they receive their ticket(s); however, participants do not need their ticket(s) in hand in order to be included in the respective draw(s). Tickets cannot be refunded once draws commence.
  3. The Top-up program for the 50/50 Plus™ and Extra Cash Plus tickets are available for purchase by any resident of Manitoba who has purchased a main ticket throughout the program. The addition of 50/50 Plus™ and/or Extra Cash Plus tickets will only be accepted by phone at 1-844-654-4677 or online at purchase.trihospitaldream.com/top-up after the initial purchase and must be purchased by the ticket deadline. All purchasers will require their initial order number and postal code to add additional 50/50 Plus™ and Extra Cash Plus ticket(s) to their original order. Additional purchases will be in the name of the original ticket purchaser and will be mailed to the address on the original purchase.
  4. All draws, except for the Grand Prize draw, will be made using Random Number Generator software (RNG). The Grand Prize draw will be made by hand using a draw drum and numbered tokens corresponding to each ticketholder in the database.
  5. Each winner, as a condition of accepting any prize, may be required to sign a declaration and release confirming such winner's eligibility to participate in the 2021 Tri-Hospital Dream Lottery and releasing the Foundation(s) from all Claims, which may arise from or in connection with the awarding, receipt, use and/or misuse of any prize awarded.
  6. Tickets can only be purchased within the Province of Manitoba. All non-residents must purchase tickets in-person at one of the retail ticket sale locations in Manitoba.
  7. The 2021 Tri-Hospital Dream Lottery tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
  8. Ticket requests will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
  9. All payments must be made in Canadian dollars.
  10. A ticket is not considered purchased until a verified financial transaction is complete. Ticket requests with cheques returned for insufficient funds (NSF) will be automatically voided. The Foundation has the right to charge persons $30 to cover NSF administrative costs.
  11. A complete list of all winners will be published online at www.trihospitaldream.com within 10 days of the final raffle draw. A complete list of all main prize winners will be published in the Winnipeg Free Press on Tuesday August 10, 2021. If the lottery should sell out before Midnight, Wednesday June 30, 2021 a complete list of all main prize winners will be published in the Winnipeg Free Press on Tuesday July 27, 2021. Upon request to the Foundation office, a listing of winners will be provided.
  12. All prizes are tax-free. The 2021 Tri-Hospital Dream Lottery ticket purchases are not tax deductible and no charitable donations receipts will be issued, as per Canada Revenue Agency regulations.
  13. The Foundation reserves the right to use winners’ names and photos in communication, promotional and media materials.
  14. Members of the Board of Directors and employees and employees’ household members of the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, Health Sciences Centre Foundation and Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, Inc., and members of licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program, are prohibited from purchasing tickets in the 2021 Tri Hospital Dream Lottery.
  15. The winner of the Spring Bonus Draw # 1 will have up to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 23, 2021 to make their selection of their choice options. If notification has not been given to the Foundation by then a cheque will be mailed out to the winner for the cash option value.
  16. The winners of the Summer Dream Bonus Draws # 2 will have up to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday July 7, 2021 to make their selection of their choice options. If notification has not been given to the Foundation by then a cheque will be mailed out to the winners for the cash option value.
  17. The winner of the Early Bird Draw # 3 will have up to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday July 28, 2021 to make their selection of their choice options. If notification has not been given to the Foundation by then a cheque will be mailed out to the winner for the cash option value.
  18. The winners of draws 3029 to 3032 will have up to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday August 10, 2021 to make their selection of their choice options. If notification has not been given to the Foundation by then a cheque will be mailed out to the winners for the cash option value.
  19. All unclaimed prizes become property of the 2021 Tri Hospital Dream Lottery after a period of three months once notification of winning tickets have been sent by mail or by email followed by one telephone call.
  20. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure the mailing address on their ticket is correct.
  21. Each ticket is eligible to win one prize in each prize category. A prize category is defined as each group of identical prizes on the official list of prizes. After each prize category draw is completed, all tickets go back in the draw for the next prize category draws.
  22. All main prize draws will be drawn in order of ascending retail value.
  23. All prizes must be accepted as awarded; some restrictions may apply to the prizes.
  24. Prizes awarded may not be exactly as illustrated in any advertising.
  25. Winners may be required to present picture identification in order to claim their prize.
  26. The Foundation reserves the right to refuse purchasers.
  27. Every ticket holder has the right to witness the draws.  In the event we are unable to allow the draws to be open to the public due to COVID 19 health restrictions or other restrictions, the draws will be video recorded and available to all ticket holders for viewing on our website at www.trihospitaldream.com. In the event we are forced to move location of the draws a notice will be provided on our website www.trihospitaldream.com. prior to the applicable draw(s).
  28. Unless otherwise stated in these raffle rules, winners will have 14 days from the date notifying them of their prize options to make their selection.
